  • Ladies backpacking trip meeting (MANDATORY) on Wednesday at  lunch
  • Senior Project Ted Talks-  feel free to watch during class this week (Tue-Thur) if you're feeling on top of TPOL prep.

Exhibition Check-list

By the end of class:

  • Print and mount essay and artist statement. Place on Ashley's desk.
  • Mount Visual piece if needed
  • Check your name off on the roster on the board when completed with today's deadlines
Bring to Exhibition:
  • Visual Piece
  • Laptop
  • Headphones
  • Joint Scientific Statement
  • Essay and Artist statements will be in the room in which you are presenting HUM/CHEM
Extra Credit
For 5 points E.C., complete the essay rubric for your fined essay  and attach that to the bottom of your essay with a paragraph explanation of why you deserve the new grade.  You must explain specific changes you made and if you did not make others, justify why you did not do that.  It must be based off of my first grade I gave you in each category.

  • Silently read this example of a sense of place essay (it does not have environmental ethic or energy production, but it is an example of how to SHOW the reader your ideas rather than tell them)
  • React to the story:  What is good? What is bad? What type of sense of place do each of the four vignettes try to show? What is the final message of the story?
  • Class discussion of reactions to the story.
  • Small group station activity:  We'll get through 2 stations today.
